And I’m home again…
As sad as I am that my holiday is over, I’m pretty excited to do a deep dive into all of the products that I picked up. And I picked up so much new stuff that I’ve decided to split this haul into two parts. Part one will be all of the makeup I bought and part two will be pretty much everything else. So let’s dive in!
Let’s start with MAC first. I arrived the day after the holiday collection landed in store and as much as I wanted to buy everything, I did show some restraint. I picked up both of the holiday MAC Extra Dimension Skin Finishes in Oh Darling (the gold) and Snowflushed (the coppery pink). I always miss out on the holiday highlighters so I knew that I wanted to grab them.
Staying with MAC, I swung by the DFO on the way home and I had a wander through The Cosmetics Company. If you don’t know what The Cosmetics Company is, they sell overstock cosmetic items from Estee Lauder brands. MAC being one of them. I picked up a bottle of the MAC Brush Cleaner (I had just run out of my Cinema Secrets brush cleaner) and a mini MAC Pigment in Tan. Usually you can only get the mini pigments in sets so it was awesome that I could grab one to try out on it’s own.
Next up, Priceline! I didn’t buy as much drugstore stuff as I thought (I have since placed a huge order from Chemist Warehouse), but I did grab a few things that I was chasing. Firstly, I picked up the Essence Make Me Brow in Dark Brown. I grabbed another Australis GRLBOSS Velvet Lip Cream in the shade Tenacity and it’s a gorgeous grey toned brown. I then spotted that the Maybelline Vivid Hot Lacquer’s were now available and I grabbed the shade Unreal which is unsurprisingly a nude shade. Finally, I picked up the ModelsPrefer Coastal Collection Highlighter in Pure Shores which even looks like sand, it’s a beautiful shade.
Sephora was next in my sights and while I was unable to get my hands on the New Nudes palette (it launched in store the day I went home), I didn’t leave there empty handed. I finally got my shade of the IT Cosmetics Oil Free Matte CC+ Cream which I will be definitely be reviewing at a later date. The Sephora I was at still had a few shades of the Bite Beauty French Press Lip Glosses left so I grabbed the shade Vanilla Latte and OH MY GOD! These smell just like espresso! Finally, I cashed in some of my Beauty Points and I got a mini Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lip in the shade Demi Glace which is a gorgeous midtone plummy brown.
Finally, I hit up Mecca Maxima and it should surprise no one that this is where I spent the most amount of money. While I didn’t get a chance to see the full holiday collection in store, I was lucky enough to see the Nars holiday collection that had launched early and I grabbed the Nars Orgasm Infatuation Cheek Palette which contains Nars Laguna bronzer, Orgasm blush and Orgasm highlighter. As someone who doesn’t already own any of these products, this was a great buy for me.
I picked up a mini of the Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face SPF 50 Sunscreen which very much came in handy when the Boyfriend and I went to the beach. I then grabbed two mini mascaras to add to my review pile. The Hourglass Caution Mascara and the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara are two that I have wanted to try for a long time. I also grabbed a sample of the Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation in the shade Almond. I wanted to try a sample before I committed to buying it in full.
My final makeup purchase was the Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes Eyeshadow Palette. This was a palette that was high on my personal wish list and I was ecstatic to see it in person. The shadows feel gorgeous and it smells as good as you think it does.
And that is all of the makeup that I picked up on the Gold Coast. We will go through all of the skincare on Friday so stay tuned for that.
Cheers and love
