Heck yeah, baby! The stash is back for another year. And we are kicking thing off with a bumper round of products that I cannot wait to put to the test over the next few weeks. You may even spy a few products that should be featuring in a future post or 2 here. Let’s get to the stash!
Starting with primers, you might see a familiar face here. While I didn’t wear much makeup during the holiday period, on those occasions I did, the ELF COSMETICS POWER GRIP PRIMER + 4% NIACINAMIDE made a huge difference to the longevity to my makeup during the heatwave we had here. She’ll be sticking around *get it?* until winter starts kicking in. When it does start cooling down and my skin starts to dry out, I have the MECCA MAX DEW OVER HYDRATING PRIMER at the ready.
Now, If I’m being realistic, I don’t see me getting two foundation reviews up. The weather has made wearing a full face quite difficult. And the motivation to even wear makeup is at an all time low. So, I’m going to aim for one review (in this case, the ELF SOFT GLAM SATIN FOUNDATION). And if that review goes up before mid March, then I’ll add in a second.
I say all that and then I go and add three concealers to the stash. But they are all ones that I’ve been using behind the scenes anyway. The CHARLOTTE TILBURY BEAUTIFUL SKIN RADIANT CONCEALER is one I’ve wanted to revisit for a minute. The MAC COSMETICS STUDIO RADIANCE LUMINOUS LIFT CONCEALER is the one I’ve been using for the last few weeks. And the REVLON ILLUMINANCE SERUM CONCEALER is just a nice concealer that I want to use more.
Well, if I’m going to wear a base, I have to set it with something! And I have a great array to test out here. The MAC STUDIO FIX POWDER is one that I can’t believe I’ve never tried. It’s a cult classic powder. I also have the ELF COSMETICS HALO GLOW LOOSE SETTING POWDER for under the eyes. For setting spray, I also have a one-two combo from MAC and ELF. The ELF POWER GRIP DEWY SETTING SPRAY and the MAC COSMETICS FIX + STAY OVER SETTING SPRAY. Why yes, I am working on a One Brand Recommendations for both these brands. Why do you ask?
Time for some new brow goodies. The ELF COSMETICS BROW LAMINATING GEL is one that I’m super curious about. It’s supposed to be a dupe for the REFY version. To fill in the brows, I have the LOUNGEFACE BROW PENCIL. This has a teeny tiny tip, which I love. And for those low effort days, I have the AUSTRALIS INCREDI-BROW.
I’m still in my single shadow era. And I had to get some of the new ELF FINE AS FLECK GLITTER EYESHADOWS. I have the shades Champagne Showers, Filthy Rich, and It’s Glit to play with. I also grabbed one of the MAC COSMETICS DAZZLESHADOW EYESHADOWS in Yes to Sequins!. I like my shimmery beiges, what can I say?
Mascara time now. And they are all from the drugstore. I went with the ELF LASH XTENDER MASCARA, the RIMMEL KIND & FREE MASCARA (another review that’s taken forever for me to get to), and the MILANI HIGHLY RATED LASH EXTENSIONS MASCARA. Is three ambitious? Maybe. But we shall see!
Let’s add some warmth to the stash. I actually have five bronzer/contour products for this stash (I ordered the new Rare Beauty Liquid Contour but it hasn’t arrived at the time of writing). I also grabbed out the RARE BEAUTY WARM WISHES BRONZER STICK to use again. Likewise, the CHARLOTTE TILBURY BEAUTIFUL SKIN SUN-KISSED GLOW BRONZER is one I wanted to revisit as I haven’t used it in a while. Finally, the MAC COSMETICS SKINFINISH SUNSTRUCK MATTE BRONZER was my pick for a powder bronzer. I always forget that MAC has powder bronzers. And the fifth one is featured with the blushes.
We’ll end this with my blush picks. And you know me, I have to have 40,000 of them in my stash. Well, more like eight, but who’s counting? I have the MAC POWDER BLUSH in MELBA, the DIBS BEAUTY GLOWTOUR DUO in STARLIT (one end is a contour and the other is a glowy blush), the MADE BY MMMITCHELL BLUSH BALM in WHERE’S THE SPF, the MAYBELLINE SUNKISSER BLUSH in SIZZLE, the THE KIND COLLECTIVE HIGH ACHIEVER COMPLEXION TRIO in SWEETHEART, and the THE KIND COLLECTIVE CLOUD SKIN BLUSH POWDERS in SUNSET VIBES.
