It seems that every time us beauty lovers log into social media, we are bombarded with all of the new makeup that is being launched. And as a result, we often forget about and neglect the products that we already own. Especially products that we have had for a while. So I recently made it my mission to try and use more products that I already own but haven’t used for a while. Which is what brings me here! These are the products that I have pulled out to use again, which in my eyes are still excellent, but maybe don’t receive the attention they used to. So let’s begin!
TOO FACED SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE BAT PALETTE – $71.00
I often get asked which palette I recommend to beginners who want to dip their toe into higher end brands. These days, without fail, The Semi-Sweet palette is the one I suggest. And after playing around with it again, it’s easy to see why! The tones are beautiful and you can easily get multiple looks from it, making it a great all rounder palette for anyone.
MAC EXTRA DIMENSION SKIN FINISH – $54.00
I feel a bit weird mentioning this one. Because I think most of us know that MAC makes beautiful highlighters. But maybe it’s a consequence of having so many highlighters on the market that I do feel like they get lost in the shuffle. And that’s a shame because the Extra Dimension formula is easily one of my favourites. It’s blingy without being chunky and for me, it doesn’t emphasize my skin texture as much as other highlighters do.
MAX FACTOR CREME PUFF BLUSH – $21.95
Max Factor as a brand doesn’t get the attention it deserves. So many of their products are winners in my eyes. But if there is one product I insist everyone try immediately, it’s their Creme Puff blushes. They are a finely milled blush that is easy to blend out but can easily be built up. I absolutely adore them and yet, no one talks about them.
DOSE OF COLORS LIQUID MATTE LIPSTICK – $18.00
Dose of Colors liquid lipsticks are easily my favourite liquid lipsticks of all time. But I’m always shocked whenever I hear people say that they have never tried them or even heard of them. The formula is light, smooth and very opaque. Also, it’s one of the few liquid lipstick formulas that I can wear all day without drying my lips out.
RIMMEL KATE LASTING FINISH LIPSTICK – $12.95
Ok, confession time. I have always liked the Rimmel lipsticks more than the Maybelline ones. And the Rimmel x Kate Moss collab lipsticks are easily the best. They come in a great range of formulas and colours. Not to mention that they are super creamy and comfortable on the lips. Best of all, you can often find them on sale! What’s not to love!
And those are just some of my recent makeup rediscoveries! This was actually a lot of fun, walking down my makeup memory lane. Have you recently rediscovered an old makeup love? Let me know down below!
Cheers and love
