Five Faves – 2025 So Far

Posted on July 4, 2025July 3, 2025 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

Well folks, we are now past the halfway point for 2025. I saw somewhere online that we are officially closer to 2050 than we are to 2000. That’s wild! Now that I’ve given you all an existential crisis, I figured it was the perfect time to share my five favourite beauty products from this year so far. I’ve made a ton of incredible beauty discoveries this year. I even had a hard time narrowing this list down to just five. But these are the products that I’ve been consistently reaching for this year. Let’s get into it.

GO TO CLARIFYING FACE HERO – $56.00
This one I just gave a huge shout out in my most recent favourites (you can find that post here). The difference it has made to my skin has been phenomenal. Ever since this came into my routine, I’ve been breaking out a lot less. And the rare breakouts I do still get have been healing a lot quicker than usual. A must buy for pretty much everyone!

PARFUMS DE MARLY ORIANA EDP – $529.00
NOTES: Top: Mandarin, Bergamot, Grapefruit Middle: Orange Blossom, Raspberry, Black Currant. Base: Whipped Cream, Marshmallow, Musk, Ambrette
Marshamallow notes in fragrances have been having a huge moment this year. But the one that I’ve used the most this year has to be my beloved Oriana. With notes of Whipped Cream, Cirtus, Marshmallow, and Musk, this is probably the most elevated Girly Pop Fragrance in my collection. A little bit goes an incredibly long way. And the projection I get is some of the best I’ve ever had for a fragrance. Though for the price I paid for it, it better be.

K18 PEPTIDE PREP DETOX SHAMPOO – $60.00
Clarifying shampoo’s have come a long way since I was first using them. Back in the day, they were just so stripping that it turned my scalp into a full oil slick (and that was after conditioning). But now we have shampoo’s like the K18 Peptide Prep, that uses Charcoal and Salicylic Acid to both gently cleanse and treat the scalp. The result? The smoothest, lightest hair I’ve ever had in my 36 years of life. It’s not stripping, not irritating, and I can use it weekly. If you’re in the market for a clarifying shampoo that means business, you have to give this a try.

MECCA MAX MAX VOL. TUBING MASCARA – $28.00 (review here)
Tubing mascara’s are still the current hotness in the makeup world. Lord knows I’ve reviewed plenty of them over the last few years. But one of the bigger complaints I’ve had recently is that tubing mascaras tend to sacrifice volume for length. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love me some wispy lashes. But there are some occasions where that extra bit of volume can tie an entire eye look together. And that’s where the Max Vol. Mascara comes in. This mascara has all of the volume with none of the smudge. It makes my lashes look so grungy and cool. And it doesn’t droop my lashes like many volumising mascaras do. This is my current frontrunner for mascara of the year and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

MADE BY MITCHELL LIGHT CURVE CASE – $68.00 (review here)
The travel makeup palette to end all travel makeup palettes, the Made By Mitchell Curve Case is the one cheek palette that I insist everyone own. The shades? Perfection. The pigment? Perfection. The blend? Perfection. I can’t really say a bad thing about it. I’m still using it on a regular basis even now that it’s not in my stash (the shade Hello There is my perfect bronzer shade for winter). Also, the fact that there is literally a palette for every skin tone? Mitchell keeps raising the bar and I can’t wait to see what he comes out with next.

And those are my five faves! I can’t wait to see what the rest of 2025 has in store (only good things, I hope). Let me know what your five favourite products for this year have been in the comments.

Cheers and love
