It seems like every month or so, another drugstore brand is dipping their toe into the tubing mascara pool. And as long as they keep making them, I will keep trying them. Today’s newbie is from Revlon, the All In Tubing Mascara. Believe it or not, this is actually their first ever tubing mascara. So, let’s see how it stands up!

REVLON ALL IN TUBING MASCARA – $28.00 – chemistwarehouse.com.au

Starting with the packaging, the All In Mascara is housed in a sleek, matte black tube with a mirrorised handle at the top of the tube. There is silver detail on the tube. Design wise, it’s very sleek and minimal. It ties into the Revlon line nicely. Having said that, one of Revlon’s better traits was that their mascara packaging was on the bright, colourful side. The All In Mascara contains 12.9ml of product.

The brush head for the All In Mascara is one that is on the unique side for a tubing mascara. This brush uses synthetic fiber bristles that give the appearance that they are swirling up the brush head. The bristles are very short and close together. And the brush head comes to a slight tip at the end. For me, personally, this is the kind of brush that I can get behind. I prefer them short and thin as it allows me to easily reach my inner and lower lashes without creating a mess.

The formula is worth having a poke at. It’s a polymer/wax hybrid formulation. The polymers create the tubing effect, obviously. But its the combo of the Carnanuba and Beeswax that keeps the formula glossy and conditioning for the lashes. I also noted Squalane in the ingredients. Also great for hydration and conditioning of the lashes.

Like many tubing mascaras, the All In’s claims are all the heavy hitters. The big four being length, volume, definition, and hold. Right off the bat, I see the definition. This wand was very good at separating each lash and creating an illusion of fullness. It was also a very easy mascara formula to layer and build up. It took a minute to dry down completely and once dry, did not have a super crunchy feel on the lashes.
One other thing I really enjoyed about this mascara was how lightweight it felt on my lashes. Didn’t matter how much I had built up or how much volume I got, this felt super comfortable. My eyes didn’t feel super weighed down. My sole complaint is I do wish I got a little more length. But that’s me being picky.

And now, the wear test! Gotta say, not sure what else I expected here. If it looks like a tubing mascara, and wears like a tubing mascara, you’re going to have a tubing mascara that isn’t going to budge throughout the day. And this one really didn’t. I did lose a little bit of the lift that I got. But otherwise, the All In wore incredibly well. I didn’t experience any flaking or irritation. It also removes very easily with water. I have no complaints.
All in all, I do have to give the All In Mascara a thumbs up and my recommendation. Is it going to change your life Probably not. But I can see it being a great, staple mascara for anyone’s collection. Now, after this, I will be going on a six month suspension on reviewing any new tubing mascaras. I need to return to my smudgy mascara roots. Have you tried the Revlon All In Tubing Mascara? Let me know in the comments.
Cheers and love
