Emmie Reviews – Covergirl Lash Blast Bond Mascara

Posted on December 16, 2025December 15, 2025 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

Ever since it’s launch in 2007, Covergirl’s Lash Blast Mascara has been a best seller and a staple mascara for millennial beauty lovers such as myself. We’ve seen countless iterations of Lash Blast over the years. And 2025 saw the launch of the Lash Blast Bond Mascara. A new ultra volumising formula with increased benefits for lash care and protection. I’ve spent the last few weeks wearing it out and about, really putting to the test. I’m now ready to share my thoughts. So, did I bond well with the new Lash Blast? Just keep reading!

COVERGIRL LASH BLAST BOND MASCARA – $21.95

Now, normally I would begin with the packaging. But it’s Lash Blast. It’s been around for almost two decades. I’m not even going to pretend that you haven’t seen this mascara before. The change they made to differentiate it from the original this time is that the tube is a lilac shade with white detail. I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned it before, but I am a sucker for purple packaging. And the tube is a lovely shade of lilac. Other than that, the tube shape is the exact same as almost all other varieties of Lash Blast. The Lash Blast Bond Mascara is vegan, cruelty free, and contains 13.1ml of product.

Next up, let’s discuss the brush. Like many of the Lash Blast Mascara’s, the Bond uses a molded brush head. And it’s a style that I’ve been enjoying as of late. I describe it as a ballet shoe brush. Where there is a curve but it straightens towards the tip. The inside of the curve has shorter bristles that are great for separation. While the outer side of the curve is thicker and the bristles are closer together. I use this side to build volume and length. Style wise, it’s closest to the Clump Crusher Mascara in the Lash Blast line. The main difference being the Clump Crusher is more of a traditional symmetrical arch shape.

Righto, let’s move onto the formula. Which does appear to be the big selling point of this mascara. Texture wise, it’s a much drier formula than I was expecting. A positive of this though is that it’s easier to build up the formula without getting clumps. The pigment is solid. Very black as you can see.

Now, as I mentioned before, the big selling point of this mascara is the Nourishing Lash Bonding Complex. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find too much information on what that entails. But the idea is that over repeat wears, the formula is supposed to hydrate, condition, and strengthen your lashes. Having now worn this mascara on a regular basis for the last three weeks, I have noticed that my lashes do seem healthier and they aren’t falling out as much. So, points in it’s favour.

As far as application goes, the Lash Blast Bond was, for lack of a better term, easy and breezy. As I mentioned before, the drier formula made building up very easy. I was able to get to two coats without any noticeable clumping or my lashes trying to join together too much. The formula is featherlight on the lashes no matter how much I build it up. It genuinely feels like I’m not wearing mascara at all.

As far as the effect on my lashes goes, I was pretty happy. This is a formula that leans more on the volumising and separating side of the coin. I didn’t get a ton of length. Which is the one drawback I have with this mascara right off the bat. Having said that, I personally did enjoy the elevated, fluttery effect this mascara gave.

Which brings me to the wear test. And we are smack dab in the middle of summer now. So, this mascara certainly got put through it’s paces. Ultimately, it did much better than I expected it would. My sole drawback was that I did lose some lift throughout the day. Other than that, I had no noticeable transfer, definitely no flaking (which shocked me considering it’s a drier formula). The best part though is that this is extremely easy to remove. Which isn’t always the case when it comes to Lash Blast.

All in all, I do actually recommend the Lash Blast Bond Mascara. Is it my favourite of the Lash Blast’s? No, the Clean one looms very large in my mind. And I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for the OG. But if you’re someone who love and affordable option and is needing a little bump in their lash health, this is a good one to grab. Have you tried the Covergirl Lash Blast Bond Mascara? Let me know in the comments.

Cheers and love
