Bite Size Review – Part 20

Posted on October 9, 2026October 8, 2026 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

And that’s now officially 20 bite size reviews. This has been such a fun little addition to my Shop My Stash series that I’m glad you have all loved. Now, I won’t lie, picking out five products to review this time around was harder than normal. By sheer virtue of the fact that I’ve technically review half of my last stash already (you can find those reviews here and here). But I ultimately came across five products that I would consider standouts from my last stash. So, Let’s get into it!

MORPHE WAKE UP ARTIST UNDER EYE CONCEALER – $20.00
I’ve been saying for a hot minute that Morphe’s rebrand has been one of the bigger surprises for me this year. And I knew that I wanted to venture out and try some of their base products as that was one of the realms that I hadn’t from from Morphe. The Wake Up Artist Concealer came highly recommended by a few of my friends. And while I can say it’s a like, I can’t say that it’s a love for me. I do enjoy that the consistency is on the thinner side, and it blends out well. But I found it to be not the most hydrating formula and it did leave my undereyes a little crepey and it definitely settled into my fine lines. Not quite crease city, but still enough for me to notice it throughout the day. It’s a good concealer, but it’s not for me..

ABOUT FACE THE CURTAIN CALL LOOSE SETTING POWDER – $45.00
I have such a love/hate relationship with the Curtain Call Loose Powder. On the positive side, this formula is now my gold standard for talc free loose powders. Holy moly, is this blurring. It looks undetectable on the skin, smooths everything out, and helps my makeup last all day long. On the negative side, I hate the packaging. I’m the kind of girly that likes to tap their powder into the lid and then apply it. But the Curtain Call powder has a weird island in the middle, making it difficult to tap the powder without it slipping onto the bottom of the lid. I either have to tap this onto the back of my hand (which I don’t like doing), or I have to tap it on the top of a makeup palette (which I also don’t like doing). Maybe I’m just stubborn. But please, About Face, this powder is amazing and it deserves better packaging.

WET N WILD MEGA STAY CLEAR BROW GEL – $10.00 *Sent In PR*
I’m tempted to keep this one short. Because my End Of Year series is coming soon and this will definitely be making the list. But not for the reasons you’re thinking. This might be one of the worst brow gels I have ever come across. I had a visceral reaction the first time I swiped this through my brows. It’s so thick and sticky, but in an uncomfortable way. And it didn’t dry clear. That’s right, this gave me ghost brows for sure. A definite skip.

RHODE POCKET BRONZER in PEBBLE – $43.00
I’ll get the obvious out of the way. The Pocket Bronze formula is good. Very good, even. In my honest opinion, if you’ve been on the fence about the pocket bronzer, I personally think they are worth the purchase. Having said that, if you are a cool toned baddie and you’re picking this shade up in particular, you might want to swatch it in store first. When I swatched it initially, Pebble definitely has that lovely, rosy tone to it. But on my skin tone, I found that when I had blended it out, the rosiness didn’t translate and it came across far more neutral in tone than I expected. I would love to see a cooler shade added to the range eventually.

TOWER 28 GET SET POWDER BLUSH in LONG BEACH ICED TEA – $36.00
I did mention these in my 2025 favourites last year. But this is your reminder that the Get Set Powder Blushes are some of the best powder blushes on the market right now. And if you’re in the market for a solid, neutral blush that will work with any makeup look, Long Beach Iced Tea is absolutely your girl.

And that is a wrap on this bite size reviews! Again, I just want to thank you all so much for your continued support for this series. I do it for you all. I hope you all have an amazing weekend and I’ll catch you next week.

Cheers and love
Emily xo
