If you were to ask me what my current favourite makeup brand was today, I would first say ‘how dare you’. Quickly followed by Rare Beauty. I have been completely obsessed with Rare Beauty lately. The packaging, the products, all of it! So much so that I’ve actually had a One Brand Recommendations on them in the pipeline for a while. But I decided to make it today’s post for a very special reason.
October 10th is World Mental Health Day. A day that hits close to home for me. And Rare Beauty is teaming up with Sephora to have 100% of all the sales of Rare Beauty products from Sephora to be donated to the Rare Impact Fund. An organization to help fund access to mental health resources all around the world. We all know how important the discussion and accessibility to mental health resources can be to people. So if you plan on picking up anything today and are not sure where to start, I am more than happy to share some of my Rare Beauty favourites with you all.
RARE BEAUTY POSITIVE LIGHT TINTED MOISTURISER – $52.00
My review of this was fairly recent (you can find it here). Cliff Note’s version, super easy to wear, very long wearing, amazing shade range. It’s probably my favourite skin tint style product of the moment. If you’re like me and you weren’t wild about the foundation, this is well worth giving a go.
RARE BEAUTY LIQUID TOUCH BRIGHTENING CONCEALER – $39.00
So, a random fact about me is that when there is a foundation/concealer duo, if I don’t like the foundation, I usually love the concealer. And that is absolutely the case here. Super brightening under the eyes But it’s still great on the rest of the face.
RARE BEAUTY ALWAYS AN OPTIMIST 4 in 1 MIST – $27.00
I’m super picky when it comes to setting sprays. So colour me shocked when I gave this a go a little while back. I love the herbal scent of it. The mist is super fine. And I do believe that it does a good job at setting my makeup and helping it’s wear time. I have the mini right now. But I do want to pick up the full size of this when I run out.
RARE BEAUTY SOFT PINCH LIQUID BLUSH – $41.00
Come on, did you really think I would leave these off? I’d get expelled from the beauty community. In all seriousness, these are still the best liquid blushes that I’ve ever used. A little bit goes such a long way. And there is a shade for everyone. Believe the hype with these.
RARE BEAUTY WARM WISHES EFFORTLESS BRONZER STICK – $45.00
I’m generally not picky when it comes to cream bronzer sticks. As long as they aren’t too waxy and they are easy to blend, I’m down. And I’m so down with this. This blends like a dream. I love it!
RARE BEAUTY POSITIVE LIGHT SILKY TOUCH HIGHLIGHTER – $44.00
This highlighter is 2017 in a pan. I will not elaborate further. Get it!
RARE BEAUTY STAY VULNERABLE LIQUID EYESHADOW – $35.00
Out of the 10 products that I’ve picked for this list, this is the one that I wanted to gatekeep the hardest. Seriously, no one talks about how good and easy to use these liquid eyeshadows are. I love them for a one and done eyeshadow look.
RARE BEAUTY PERFECT STROKES VOLUMISING MASCARA – $20.00
Top three favourite mascara of all time. I am not kidding. This is my third tube and I already have a fourth lined up. This is the mascara that I use between reviews.
RARE BEAUTY SOFT PINCH TINTED LIP OIL – $35.00
Let’s get the obvious out of the way. Is this a lip product with oils in it? Yes. Is this a lip oil in the traditional sense? No. So, from that I can see why people were initially disappointed in these when they launched (I’m people). The reason why I still love them, however, is that they are a near budge proof lip tint that is so comfortable to wear. I do hope they expand the shade range of these because they are lovely.
RARE BEAUTY KIND WORDS MATTE LIP LINER – $27.00
If you like the Charlotte Tilbury lip liners, but just can’t justify paying that much for them, I’d say grab the Rare Beauty ones instead. The formula of these liners sits somewhere between the Huda Beauty and the Charlotte Tilbury. Creamy enough to make them easy to use. But they are so long wearing. I especially love that they lip liners have a corresponding lipstick as well.
And those are my picks. This is easily one of the hardest One Brand Recommendations that I’ve ever had to narrow down (I even left out the brushes!). Let me know what your favourite Rare Beauty products are in the comments.
Cheers and love

These products all look and sound so beautiful! It’s so fabulous that Sephora and Rare are teaming up for 100% of sales to go to the Rare Impact Fund.
