It’s time to get wet again, y’all! Today, we are chatting about some new additions to my shower routine. I do enjoy this series because I do feel like this is a part of the beauty routine that doesn’t get enough attention. And I always love knowing what people use in their hair/body care routine. Let’s get into it!

ALPHA-H MELTING MOMENT CLEANSING BALM – $69.95
In all my years of trying out cleansing balms, I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve ever owned the Alpha-H Melting Moment Cleansing Balm. It’s one of the best selling cleansing balms in Australia. And now that I’ve tried it, it’s for good reason. I don’t think I’ve ever gone into detail about what my preferences are when it comes to cleansing balms. So, I guess I’ll use the Melting Moment Balm as an example of what I like.
Texture wise, this sits right in the sweet spot of not too firm and not too soft. Sometimes when a balm is too firm, I can find that it doesn’t emulsify as nicely when I add water. And balms that are too soft are just a mess (glares at Elemis). I can pick up a scoop of the Melting Moment Balm, have it hold it’s shape, and massage and melt it into my skin pretty easily. And it really does break everything down. My skin doesn’t feel overly greasy after using this. Best of all, even though there is fragrance, it’s extremely mild and inoffensive. Like I said earlier, I can see why people like this one so much. And it’s one that I would consider getting again.

HAIRIFICATION PURE GROW HAIR GROWTH INTENSIFYING SERUM – $28.00*
*Em’s Note* This was sent in PR. The following thoughts are my own.
I’ve been extremely vocal over my affection of the Hairification Pure Grow range. The Shampoo and Conditioner both featured in my end of year favourites and I have repurchased both multiple times. So, I was delighted to be sent their newest launch. The Hair Growth Intensifying Serum. The big claims of this serum was that it was supposed to promote up to 214% hair growth in just 10 days. Which I will admit is a big call. I’ve reached the stage in my life where my hair growth is slower than it used to be.
So, over the Christmas break and throughout January, I put it to the test. And the results were incredible. Even my hairdresser asked what I was doing differently when I came into my appointment at the end of January. The area I noticed the most growth was my fringe. Which went from sitting just above my eyebrows to tickling my eyelashes in just three weeks. This is certainly one that I’ll continue to use behind the scenes. But if you’re someone who struggles with hair growth, this might be worth trying.

SOL DE JANEIRO DELICIA DRENCH SHOWER OIL – $43.00
You know, I think I only mentioned that I wanted this on my Instagram, not that I actually have it. In any case, I have it and it’s incredible! I was always going to be an easy lay for any shower product Sol De Janeiro came out with with this scent. After all, it is my favourite one. But how does it stand up as a shower oil? Pretty well, all things considered. Texture wise, it’s thicker than a lot of the shower oils that I’ve previously used. More an oil/gel hybrid. And it lathers up more than I expected it would. Which is not a bad thing. But it doesn’t go milky like many of the other shower oils I’ve tried. Having said all that, I do notice just how soft and smooth my skin feels after using this. And the scent is just a bonus. She’s pricey, but if you’re a fan of the Delicia Drench scent, this is a run, don’t walk!
And that is a wrap for what I’m currently using! Spy anything you want to try? let me know in the comments.
Cheers and love
Emily xo
